Major Executive Search announces the successful completion of an assignment placing Michelle Alcathie as Vice President, Human Resources at Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (NASDAQ: KTOS) located in San Diego, CA. Kratos develops and delivers a wide range of products, services and solutions that support government and commercial customers around the world. Major Executive Search Partner Teresa Jacques along with Founder & CEO Sue Major conducted the assignment.
In this key position, Michelle will be responsible for providing both strategic and tactical leadership to ensure the alignment of HR initiatives with Kratos Defense & Security Solutions business strategy. Throughout her career, Michelle has been an impactful human resources leader within the commercial and government ecospheres. Michelle was most recently Vice President of Human Resources, Eastern Region at GKN Aerospace (OTCMKTS: GKNLY), where she defined and executed the HR strategy to drive a culture of high employee engagement for 4000+ employees over the 11 sites throughout North America. As Vice President of Human Resources Transformation NA & US Talent Acquisition, at GKN, led the transformation of the company’s talent acquisition system and ensured all HR initiatives and programs were aligned with business priorities. Prior to GKN, Michelle directed all human resource initiatives at Trademark Metal Recycling, a multi-site/multi state operation with 27 locations throughout the East Coast. Michelle began her career in Human Resources, as an HR manager at The Home Depot. Michelle earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and Services from St. Leo University in Tampa, FL.
