Major Executive Search announces Paz Patel as the new Vice President of Talent at Viasat located in Carlsbad, CA.  Viasat Inc. Major Executive Search Partner Teresa Jacques along with Sue Major, Founder and CEO conducted the assignment.

Mr. Patel is an accomplished senior HR Executive with a proven track record of leading and managing teams to raise organizational performance and drive employee engagement. At Viasat, he will be responsible for setting the global vision, strategy, and roadmap for Talent Development and Acquisition. Mr. Patel will lead the Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development Teams globally ensuring that diversity, inclusion, and equity are embedded into all talent processes, programs, and initiatives.

Most recently, Mr. Patel led Global HR at Amazon Web Services Sales and Marketing. Over the course of 5 years, he worked closely with the executive team to define key HR and Talent priorities. Mr. Patel was previously the HR Director of Technology and Engineering at British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) United Kingdom, where he created formalized career paths for the company’s growing engineering capability. His professional career began at Goldman Sachs International where he was Associate for Human Capital Management, driven by a curiosity about what drives people to make certain decisions. Mr. Patel earned his Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Physics from King’s College, University of London in the United Kingdom. We are excited to place him in this new leadership role.
