Premier executive search firm Major Executive Search has placed Narbeh Derhacobian as the new Chief Executive Officer of GuRu Wireless, the Pasadena, CA-based industry leader in delivering the most advanced multi-watt, over-the-air, wireless power transfer solutions. The assignment was conducted by Major Executive Search Founder & CEO Sue Major along with Managing Director John Rivoir.

Prior to joining GuRu, Narbeh was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Adesto Technologies (Nasdaq: IOTS), a company he co-founded in 2007. Narbeh led Adesto through its founding and early financing rounds to its 2015 IPO and beyond as a public company. Adesto was acquired by Dialog Semiconductor in 2020 for an enterprise value of more than $500M. At the time of the merger with Dialog, Adesto had over 2,000 customers in the industrial, consumer, communications, and medical segments. Under Narbeh’s leadership, Adesto was selected as a Red Herring Top 100 North America winner for 2014 and was recognized as the Top Emerging Growth Company of 2019 by the Association of Corporate Growth in Silicon Valley. Narbeh’s prior experience includes senior management roles at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMD), Virage Logic Corporation (Nasdaq: VIRL), Cswitch, and Silicon Storage Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSTI). Narbeh has over 50 issued patents around semiconductor devices. He holds a Ph.D. in physics from UCLA and an MBA from San Jose State University.
