Major Executive Search announces the successful completion of an assignment recruiting Glen Stone as the new Technical Director for the Car Connectivity Consortium® (CCC). The CCC is a cross-industry international standards body advancing technologies for smartphone-to-car connectivity solutions. Through its Digital Key, the CCC brings together the automotive and technology industries to future-proof vehicle access using smart devices. Every significant manufacturer in every corner of the world — from Shanghai, China, to Munich, Germany, to New York City, USA — is vital to this member-based organization. Glen is an experienced technology executive with a proven track record of successfully bringing innovative products to market. With senior-level management experience in Fortune 500 companies, Glen has a strong history of driving strategic initiatives and managing cross-functional teams to deliver results. In his most recent role as Vice President of Engineering and System Architecture, Glen led the development and deployment to bring the IMAX Movie theater experience into the home.
As a global negotiator and influential leader in consortia and standards development, Glen has a proven ability to drive multi-national company consensus, resulting in interoperable products. As such, he was awarded the IEC 1906 Award in 2008 for international standardization activities. In 2013-2015, while working for Samsung, Glen also served on the Board of Directors of the CCC and as the Working Group Chair of the CCC’s Ecosystem Committee. He is an accomplished speaker and presenter at conferences, panels, and seminars and has been named on over 50 patents across Apple, Sony, Samsung, and DTS.
